Your hosts, Janet and Jane welcome you to their home and guest house, Bufo Villae.

Bufo Villae is located in a quiet district of the 'Naze end' of Walton-on-the-Naze, which is situated on the Tendring Peninsular, in North Essex.  Together with nearby Suffolk and Norfolk, Essex makes up the attractive corner of Eastern England known as East Anglia.

Our house has uninterrupted views of the North Sea, as well as our colourful and informal gardens.  The beaches are clean and sandy.

We have three rooms available, each with it's own character, including a ground floor room which has gives full access for guests with mobility difficulties.

Room One, Ground Floor, Twin, En-suite.

This spacious, ground floor room is fully equipped for guests with limited or impaired mobility and has wheelchair access.  The en-suite shower room has a walk/wheel in shower, hand basin, electric shaver point and toilet with hand rails.  The room has twin beds, with reading lights over, you will find a well stocked bookshelf if you have forgotten your own.  Alternatively you can watch the colour television you will also find in the room, along with tea and coffee making facilities.

Room Two, Sea View, Double En-suite.

Lovely double room, with fine, uninterrupted views over the sea.  This room has a double bed, with reading light over and a radio alarm clock, a well stocked bookshelf, colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. En-suite shower room with shower, w.c., hand basin and electric shaver point.

Room Three, Garden View, Single En-suite

With views extending over our colourful garden, this is our single room.  The room has a spacious 4' bed, with reading  light over, bedside chest and ample wardrobe space.  The room has a colour television, full tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite toilet, hand-basin and shower.  There is and electric shaver point, a wide range of books to read, and a radio for your enjoyment.

All of our rooms have central heating, controlled via an individual thermostat, so you have control of how warm your room is.

The following items are available for guests use and can be provided upon request:

• An iron and ironing board

• Hairdryer

• Swimming or Beach Towels

The Dining Room

Our homely, informal dining room has glorious views out over the sea and is bathed in sunshine during the summer months.  The room is full of character with corner open fireplace, traditional wooden dressers and stripped pine floor.

Our full English breakfast is served in the dining room at 8.30am Monday to Saturday and at 8.45am on a Sunday.  Breakfast can be served at a different time by prior arrangement.  

Our extensive breakfast comprises the traditional, full English breakfast, or any of the components thereof, as well as cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit, toast with jam or marmalade, tea and coffee. If you have a special dietary requirement, please let us know and we will happily endeavor to supply what is required.

The dining room is available for your use (by arrangement) in the evenings too, whether it be for enjoying a take-away meal, or playing board games, or even that business paperwork that just has to be done.  

Bufo Villae Beach Hut

Our beach hut, located on the fine, clean, sandy beach, approximately 5 minutes across the road from the house is available for guests to hire.  The beach hut is fully equipped with everything you might need for your day on the beach, including chairs, cooker, crockery and cutlery.
